9 - 10:30am / Live Shoot (family session)

11 - 12pm / Breakdown of a Family Film

Take a peek inside the backend of a couple of my recently family films as I take you through the choices I made as a storyteller and break down my thought processes behind them.

12 - 1:30pm / Group Lunch + Casual Q&A

Our lunch together will either be catered or held at Cafe Claremont in the Hotel, please make sure you let me know of any food allergies on the form during checkout. I’d love for this to be a nice opportunity for group discussion around family films where every person’s input is valuable and we all learn from each other.

1:30 - 3:30pm / From Assembly to Color: LIVE edit in Premiere Pro

Using footage from the LIVE session I shot in the morning, I’ll get as far in the editing process as possible and talk through it with you along the way. After the workshop each attendee will receive a live screen recording of me talking through the final film with a breakdown of the choices I made and why.

4 - 5pm / Critiques

This session will vary based on the number of films submitted. Bring your film for an in depth (non scary) critique where I’ll highlight areas where I feel you’re doing well and areas where I feel could be stronger. This is by far one of THE best ways to improve quickly as a filmmaker. Each attendee should plan on submitting a client film for this critique.
